Connecting garden lighting above ground:
Garden lighting is connected above ground by means of an XMvK outer cable, which you run above the ground (in contrast to an XMvK-axis ground cable, which is underground). If you want to connect multiple XMvK outdoor cables, use a central box / cable box. You run the outer cable including the gray sleeve (not just the individual wires) through the swivel and then connect it to the inside of the central box. Make sure that the gland is also properly tightened, so that moisture cannot enter the central box.
If you still have to attach the cable to a wall, use cable saddles. If the cable runs horizontally, attach a cable saddle every 30 cm. If the cable is vertical, use a cable saddle every 40 cm.
Underground connection of garden lighting:
Garden lighting is connected underground by means of an XMvK shaft ground cable, which is buried in your garden (minimum 60 cm deep). This cable has a metal sleeve that protects the cable against breaking if you hit it during digging in your garden. If you want to connect multiple XMvK axis cables underground, use a ground sleeve / cable sleeve. You connect the cables together in this ground joint, after which they are surrounded with a gel or resin that ensures that no moisture gets into the cables.
If you still have to attach the cable to a wall above ground, use cable saddles. If the cable runs horizontally, attach a cable saddle every 30 cm. If the cable is vertical, use a cable saddle every 40 cm.
